  1. Yes!!! But it’s not new…it’s going back to the old ways. We’ve been putting chicken bones and beef bones in our crock pot and letting it simmer for three days. My son who is a avid climber and cyclist is drinking it at least two times a day and I’ve been drinking 2 cups a day to get more calcium into my teeth and gums. I’m sold on it!!!

    • I realize that it is not new but few people make bone broth today. I rarely make it.Chicken soup,stews but I would give it to my dogs. I never put vinegar in it to leach out all the mineral and enzymes from the bones.The last couple of years I rarely buy a whole chicken. I buy frozen chicken that are pre cut or boneless breast meat.

      I have changed that after reading about all the benefits of bone broth. I now have been making it. I agree with you that I am sold. I do not have to buy suppliments. I get it from my food.My body is so run down from this past year illness, side effects of medicines … It will take some time to get some positive results. I am hooked on the taste and my body is craving it. That let’s me know that my body needs what is in it. I am so glad to hear that you and your son are having such good results.

  2. Great article. I wonder if that applies to bones used from a cow that had growth hormone shots over its life time as well as eating a high grain diet.

    • I would recommend using bones from organically grown cows or chickens to make bone broth. Taking any form of hormones is something that I would not recommend. Modern medicine does not have a true understanding of hormones function in the body. Time will tell what it has done to the US’s society experiment with over use of hormones on it people.
