Computer will be in shop Next week.

Hi everybody,

My computer has been over heating and shutting down automatically the last week. I will be taking it in for repairs next week. If I suddenly stop posting you will know why, I hope that I can get it done quickly like the last time it acted up.

  1. Fingers crossed, Honey……..Karen

  2. It sounds like your thermo glue is not working anymore?

Thermo glue helps with heat distribution. When it is unable to do its task, the processor heats up and then for safety reasons the PC automatically shots off.

    • Hi Randy,
Thanks for the helpful tip about thermo glue. Hubby went on the net and found a tutorial that showed how to clean my laptop. He found that the fan was dirty. The laptop has been cleaned and is working great thus far. It has been 4 years since it was cleaned last, when it was repaired at a shop.Hubby has cleaned stationary computer boxes but this was his first laptop. We saved time and money. We didn’t have to travel in travel advisery weather either. The repair shop is quite some distance from us.

I am back up and running again. My computer has been saved for a little longer. It is getting pretty old.
