Stones from the garden

Stones from the garden

Once the garden was dug out, we had close to 2 tons of stone that we had dug out. This picture shows the stones that we didn’t use in the border around the garden.

You can see the numbers (1-4), which is the sequence my husband began his digging out the garden bed in sections to seperate out the grass and rocks. That was after the garden spot had already been plowed. If you look closely at the picture. You can see a square section. It was the last bit he had to work on. It took 24 days to get it all done.
You can see the rock piles off to the side that he pulled out of the garden. This gave him the idea to make a rock wall border. We thought we could use this to keep the grass from growing back into the garden.
